Hi, Emma here the owner & doula behind Blessings from Birth Doulas YEG! I'm a certified Labor & Postpartum Doula, Pregnancy & Infant Loss Doula, Hypno-Doula, Childbirth Educator & Car Seat Technician in Edmonton & surrounding communities'.

You can find me supporting births and empowering parents in all of YEG and surrounding communities (up to 200km+) whether that be in the hospital, home or birthing center. Strathcona County, Sturgeon County, Westlock County, Parkland County, Leduc County - you name it I'll be there!

My why? I became a doula as I had a very isolating and uninformed birth during the COIVD 19 pandemic and I left my birth feeling motivated to support other families in my community so no one had a birth experience like mine. From a young age I have always had the passion to help people and work with children - as a young adult I worked in early childhood, then as a unit clerk in the hospital and then I found my true calling - becoming a doula! I then started my journey to become a loss doula shortly after I became a birth doula as I have two of my own babies up in heaven, taken from me too soon - I wanted to reach out to support other's going through loss and be able to hold their hand well they walk the grief journey, it is simply one of the way's I honor my babies in heaven; Hope and Easton.

When I am not holding space for families I am likely chasing my four year old around, working in the LD and PP units in the city as hospital staff, doing, the community liaison for Doula Association of Alberta, drinking ALL of the coffee, listening to country music and likely taking another new course to further my education as a doula.
